Faculty and staff are critical to any success colleges and universities have with diversity education. Motivated by a desire to keep their faculty and staff current in their respective fields, the most forward-thinking colleges and universities have routinely incorporated faculty and staff development into budgets and performance expectations for more than three decades. Such activities are all the more critical in the face of increasingly diverse campuses and in light of scholarship about U.S. and global diversity that has transformed the knowledge base.
